You’ve seen her on TikTok and Instagram — she has her life totally together, is always super productive, works out every day, makes an IG-worthy breakfast, practices self care, and somehow still finds time to socialize between it all. She’s the best version of ourselves. She’s who we aspire to be, but at the same time, we all know she is unachievable — right? This week, Mel and Marissa challenge themselves to be THAT girl! Join us as we reflect on a week of trying to achieve this supposed pinnacle of perfection.

Hi. Hello, and welcome back to another episode of tech girl. Happy hour. We are your hosts. I'm Mel and I'm Marissa this week. I don't know if you can tell we got a little bit of an upgrade tour sound situation. We got some new microphone. Whew. I hope we sound crispy and professional. Do we sound good? We could do like we could, we could do ASMR if we wanted to. Oh, you sound good. That would've never worked before, but it's crazy. We've been doing this podcast for over a year and we just got mics. We're now finally professionals. Yes. I feel very cool with this yeti. To be honest, I feel like I'm on a radio. You look like you're a rapper. Like that's pretty cool. Um, when the Amazon guy came to deliver it, he was, he, he was quite nice. And the box, like it, it wasn't an another Amazon box. You could tell what it was. And he was like, yo, do you stream? And I was like no, but I have a podcast. Yeah, I feel like, I feel like this is us finally getting our lives together, um, which kind of ties into the topic this week. But before we talk about that, Marissa, what are you drinking? I'm having a Starburst IPA by ecliptic brewing. I think I've had this before. It's a, it's decent. Um, our, our friends from Toronto are visiting. So one of them staying with me and brought me a, a six pack. As the fees for the Airbnb. So having that Hotel Marissa Hotel Marissa. Hotel M actually, that's what we call it. Aw What are you drinking? I have, uh, another kind of different craft beer that I picked up last time that I got some stuff. And this is, um, Ex Novo Southwest west coast style IPA. Ooh. It's an IPA kind of day. Yeah. It's got like trees all over the package. Very west coast. Literally this was me being like, I'm going to be Marissa and like get west coast IPA. And like it has trees cause I, like being outside cause I'm Marissa actually fun fact. I don't think I like west coast IPA's that much. They're like, they're like malty and darker. Right? I like the very light. Oh, I'm just a hazy person, like a hazy IPA person. But what do I know? Hazy's always good. I just like drinking beer. It's doesn't get that much more complicated than that. So this week on the podcast, we decided to, you know, do something a little bit different because we've been on a real creative kick recently, in case you didn't notice. And, you know, Marissa and I, we do our rounds on Tik TOK once in a while. And. We always see those like that girl, little like video montages from the day. And so we wanted to try being that girl for a week. So this has been an experimental week. No, we, we would often send each other that girl tick talks and then it would be so inspiring. And we were like, wow, like we want to live like these people and make their, make our beds and drink matcha every day. So we wanted to challenge each other. Uh, sort of this wellness, that girl challenge. Um, so, uh, yeah, so this was a week long experiment and at the beginning of the week we sat down and we spoke about what do we think being quote, unquote, that girl looks like, what things are we adding to our routines and what. Um, and we took a moment to just just plan and prep. Um, so we recorded that a week ago and you know what, we're going to do a little cut scene here and queue that discussion. So here we are. It's Sunday before the beginning of our, that girl week. Let's kind of go over the whole idea of this. Like what is the, that girl trend? Mm. All right. So I think, I think it's mainly like a Tik TOK trend, but that girl, the image of that girl has existed for perhaps all of human history, but in its modern form, it's really. The, the person like she has, she has her life together. Like she's productive. She gets up early, works out, eats well, gets enough, sleep works hard. Like kind of just someone who's just really high-functioning and put together. And I think that girl is like someone who we all to some extent aspire to be, but it's like the pinnacle of like perfection. So. I think most of us don't see ourselves as being her, but we kind of want to be her, but we also don't know if we totally want to be her, because it sounds like a lot It does sound like a lot. And I think part of the, that girl trend is just. Appreciating those beautifully put together tick talks of just impeccable lives, clean apartments, like productivity. I actually find watching them relaxing. It's like, um, I also watch a couple of bloggers that also embody a similar lifestyle. And for some reason it's not stressful. It's just relaxing watching someone have a clean house. Yes. Okay. So let's dive into it and let's figure out like, Who is that girl? What does she do? Cause you mentioned a bunch of things and then like, you know, what are these aspects that we're going to take into our week? I think really all of this is centered around the theme of health and like kind of self care moments, I guess, along with, I think like being productive and motivated. Those themes. Right? So it's like everything. Yeah. Like, I guess think like everything that we aspire to be really like as women on a daily basis, um, maybe some of it, it seems kind of toxic, actually. I don't know, but like, I guess like what society values, like for, for us, that's kind of it, right. That's. Okay. But in terms of the actual things that we want to like try to target to do, like, let's start at the beginning. Cause I think like routines are big for this, for her, for that girl. So let's start with like, it's kind of like walk through our day a little, like. Uh, that girl morning look like, Ooh, definitely getting up at an early time. So not five minutes before your meeting. Like I usually do. Um, I see a lot of seven AM's on those tech talks, but I don't know if I can do that. Let's just say an early enough time that you can like make yourself a nice drink in the morning. Definitely make your bed, like do your skincare. Like, I don't do the majority of those things when I wake up at Easter. Well, what time do you think you're going to target to wake up? Are you going to try to do seven? I mean, for tomorrow's product review? Yes, unfortunately, but I would say eight o'clock like eight o'clock that's realistic for me. I don't know. I might try, I might try to do earlier if I hit. So I still need to kind of like make my schedule a little bit, but if I try to do like the morning workout, then maybe, maybe I'll try to do

30. The morning workout is really essential to that girl too. We see that a lot in content and it's usually like, yeah, uh, they, they drink like a black coffee or a macho that's like beautifully made and like workout and come home. Have a pressed juice or something. Yeah. Like, okay. Yeah. Morning waking up early the workout. I mean, workout doesn't have to be in the morning, but like that girl is, tends to be the morning. And then the breakfast, I think like the breakfast is a big part of it. It's always some sort of wholesome, healthy breakfast, like a juice with, um, I dunno like steel cut. Oh, it's I see that a lot. OSI bubbles. Um, some healthy toasts. It's all, it's all very aesthetic too, because it is, it is like a tick tock thing. Definitely aesthetic. Yeah. Um, okay. And then how about for our day? I see some, um, I see a lot of work montages, like making lists, people make goals and lists a lot, like, and check them off. Um, there's always some cuts of people working with a good posture and probably like a tea or something. Um, but I think it would cost her in love with, oh, it just means working like a solid, productive Workday and one where you're ideally not in. Oh, yeah. Okay. So are we going to like change into real clothes? That is so scary. Like, okay. You know what I'll do. I'll get out of my pajamas and I'll wear my app leisure or buy like lounge wear. That's like the best I can do. Like we gotta do that girl within the constraints of like what's realistic and I'm not going to wear jeans at home. So that's the best I'm going to do. I love the way that's like totally off the table. You got to fit like your lifestyle? I think to a certain extent. Yeah, no, that's true. Like, I've seen some other that girl, like people trying to be that girl for a week and they spend like an hour doing their hair and makeup in the morning. And I'm like, I don't think that girl necessarily like, does spends that much time on it because. As much as like, she's all about like the self care and like doing all those things that sometimes get overlooked. I feel like she like has a good balance on her time and like, wouldn't spend like an hour doing your hair, but she would like, you know, still look good. So it's like a balance in between like, like wash your face in the morning. Like I don't do that. Bare minimum Marissa, that's the bare minimum. Okay. And then I think like, yeah, the Workday very focused. Like, I don't think she like gets distracted and goes on her phone randomly during the Workday, she gets things done. Um, I think she has like a nutritious lunch and dinner as well, since she started the day with like a nutritious breakfast. Um, Mel knows I'm on a quest right now to clear up my freezer. And I would say that's the opposite of nutritious. Like sometimes I have fruit, sometimes I have frozen trader Joe's. Like, I think I might have to put my freezer requests on hold for this week, or like just have some of the freezer stuff on the side, but like also have vegetables. Yeah, I think, you know what, on the topic of lists, I think that girl actually manages to like complete her weekly. God, imagine a life. Like, I don't think she procrastinates or puts things off. And I think she has a good sense of time management, where she makes like a reasonable to do lists. We'll try our best with that one, but I don't think I've ever checked off a to-do list of in my life before I almost finished my last week. So that was pretty good. Almost, but not quite, I think also that girl like finds time to socialize a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. It's not all work. That's not it either. It's like, it's like kind of the self care aspect. Like I see. So we're talking about post-work now a lot of what I see is getting dinner with a close group of friends. Like not partying and like burning yourself out, but like spending time with. A small amount of people, like usually like a nice dinner. Um, I see a lot of like journaling, I'm having a glass of wine and reading like those like wholesome, like soul nourishing activities. That's so sweet. Here's a random one. I think that girl remembers to take her omega threes. That's true. That's true. They do start the day with vitamins. Um, yeah, I've been really falling behind them. Good call on that. Marissa and I share notes about taking our omega-3s and yeah, I've been kind of taking them this last week, but it's sometimes, sometimes I forget. I don't think that girl forgets and okay. That cleaning the house. I think that was a big one. And I think like that girl goes to bed every night with the house clean and like the kitchen cleaned. Like I don't think she leaves dishes for the next day. That's what I've always seen the videos and it's like, you enter a crisp bed of clean sheets that are made and there's like a candle on the side and like, oh my gosh. Yeah. How could we forget to say that the morning routine you gotta make, we gotta make her bed. Yeah. We're not too bad. I think we're pretty good about that. Yeah. Okay. But nighttime, I think nighttime routine is also like an important thing, starting with the fact that that girl definitely gets like her solid eight hours or whatever she needs to sleep. Um, Workaway skincare, um, slow, wind down. Like I could see like meditation or a podcast, like a very low screen time. Yeah, definitely like. Going to bed at night and waking up in the morning, I think is low screen time. And like just overall like good sleep hygiene, good regular hygiene. Like I think that girl flosses. Yeah. Oh, we have to floss this week. Alright How much, how often do you normally floss? I will not reveal this show. Geez this has been like exposing me so much. I try to, but I'm not consistent with it, but I try to like a couple of times a week, I feel like I know that every day is not feasible for me, so I don't even bother, but I try to do it a couple of times a week. Yeah. I was thinking of like, legit, just like leaving myself post-it notes to like remind myself of these routine kind of things that I'm trying to do. Oh I like that. A tactic I was thinking. Actually pretending like I'm that person making a tech talk and it's like capturing the moments of that girl. As I, as I go through my day, Hey, you can make it, you can make a tick talk if you want. I'll try it out. But I want to see my life through the lens of that girl lens. So yeah, I think that would be like, uh, a good add on, of like documenting things a little bit. Like when you make. Sexy breakfast, like take a picture of it, take a little video snippet or something. Yeah. What do you think is going to be the hardest part of this week? That's a good question. Um, I mean, Mel knows I'm really busy. Like just work as insane and I've just been really stressed out recently. So being able to maintain a healthy lifestyle while like also working pretty hard, like that's my top worry. What's your. Yeah. I mean, I think like finding the right balance is going to be a little hard because I don't know, like, okay. I think, I think it on a more granular skill or more specific skill, the hardest thing for me is going to be like going to bed at like a good times. Cause I am somebody who. I need, like my solid eight, eight and a half hours of sleep, but I don't, I don't feel ready to go to bed early. Yeah. So, but I'm trying to, I'm going to try to wake up early. So if I wake up early, I have to go to sleep early, but I find the evening goes by so fast sometimes. And so when it fleets, like it's just fleeting and it goes by so quickly, it's hard to find the time to do everything that you want to do. It's a lot of discipline. Like a lot of this week is going to come down and discipline. Yeah. Discipline. And for me, it's going to be that shift of like, trying to kind of shift the nighttime routine and seeing how that affects the timing of the rest of the day. So we'll see either way I'm excited. Maybe it's could be like a fresh kickstart, a fresh change for us. Yeah, I think so too. It could be interesting. It's like a lifestyle. Exactly. Okay. I think I've mentioned this before that sometimes I have a hard time, like abiding by really good, um, like routine and stuff. Although I don't think I'm bad, but sometimes I have a hard time. Cause I feel like I get, like, I don't know, like, oh, I'm just going to cheat this one day. Like, you know, it's hard to like. Sustainable change, but I think this is going to be a good week cause it's like, okay. Even if I, you know, I have no time to check social media or anything like that, it's like, it's only for a week. It's like you said, like a diet, like a short-term thing. So it's like just pull it together for a week. And then, and then we can go, we can revert back to bad habits if we need. Everything else that was like, quote, unquote bad will still be there for me in a week. Yup. Okay. Well, let's see how it goes. I'm excited. Let's do this. Okay. And we're back a week later after the experiment, Mel, how did it go for you? You know what overall. Okay. I feel like it was okay. It was okay. I feel like it started off really good. And then life got in the way, and this is how my weeks, I guess always go, but it got so hard and. Everything my whole, like, it's not even just because of the challenge. It's just like, everything gets derailed towards the end of the week. I find, so it started off really high. And then it kind of just like Thursday, Friday started falling off the cliff for me. Yeah. Oh boy. I totally feel that. Like, I feel like that's the case with any like challenge, like weight loss challenge, like nutrition challenge, lifestyle challenge. Like you always start off really strong, whatever you're doing, I think needs to be sustained. Not just for the week, but maybe for your life. Right? Like maybe we were trying to be, to put together to a degree where like normal melon, Marissa, wouldn't be able to handle it. I don't know. You know what? No, I would say, I feel like the way we defined it and like what I added to my life. Wasn't too ridiculous. Um, like, you know, when we, when we had the disc, the planning discussion, we didn't say that we were going to wake up at six in the morning because we knew it was just like, not gonna happen. Okay. We let's just kind of go over like what we did actually end up doing. So I tried to wake up consistently around eight or like a quarter after eight. And I try, I tried to do a proper morning routine, a little bit of like making a nutritious breakfast and then get on with my Workday. Um, and I worked out or I try to work out every day. So that was like a little bit of an add-on for me. I took my omega threes cause you know, I really associate that with being that girl. Um, and yeah, I just, I just, I tried to make time for everything, you know, like work and then like personal. Goals and socializing. Hmm. Okay. Yeah, no, I think I followed a pretty similar format, like I think, yeah, waking up at eight, making, eating breakfast more like paying attention to what I'm eating, working out. Um, keeping my place really clean. I think that was a really big one. Like making my bed every morning. Always cleaning up and vacuuming every day, which was, as you may have heard on this podcast, a big step for me. Um, I think, yeah, I think the only challenge is it was a very, very busy work week and I struggled balancing my stress with the, that girl experiment. But I think reflecting on that week, I think doing all those things, those wellness activities and staying really on point about my home helps me manage stress way more than if I didn't do that. And just like ate junk food. Stayed in my pajamas all day. Yeah. And it was funny because I F I find there's always certain things in life during the day that you just don't want to do. Right. Like cleaning the kitchen after lunch, because you're thinking, oh, I got to get back to work, but I would, I would find myself saying to myself, like, Mel, that's not very that girl of you. You got to go do it. Yeah. So it was like a funny, kind of like motivator. Yeah. And I think that doing something like with a friend too, for like, you know, we're going to come back and talk about it on public podcast. It's, it's kind of like a good motivator to actually try. Um, so that was cool. I found it really interesting where, so I tried to take like clips of my day similar to like the, the tech talks that we got inspired from. And. The days where I took clips, I felt like I did a lot better. Cause I was like accountable to like finishing that and reflecting on the content by the end of the night. Like, but one on one on days where I did and I felt like I could just like be lazy with the rules. So that was also interesting. Yeah. I could see the acting as accountability. I tried doing that. And I hated it. I was like, I'm trying to get away from easing my phone and taking clips of everything is just making me grab it way, way, way too much. Yeah. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it, but, but I enjoyed seeing yours. Um, okay. Let's let's dive into what went well and what didn't. So like what's like one thing that you would say went well for you. Besides vacuuming every day. I'm really proud of you, by the way. I think the biggest thing is actually like eating healthy and really just taking the time to make my food and like, Pay attention to what I'm eating. Like that was really good. Um, I didn't get takeout and I had, uh, I was on a mission to clear up my freezer. That's that mission started before this week, but because we had this week or I was just like finding creative ways to clear up my freezer and like use leftover ingredients. So it was very proud of my cooking this week. That's good. What was your highlight? And like, yeah, best, best thing that happened. Oh, man. I don't know if there was a highlight but healthy in terms of like healthy habits. Um, I feel like I'm, I'm the kind of person I always go through phases with working out. And so like making more of a conscious effort to do so like reminded me of like, okay, get back into it. And like, there's always time for even if. Even if it's just like a 15 minute workout, like there's so many like YouTube videos, for example, of like 15 minute workouts. And so it was kind of like a reminder of like, okay, there's no excuse, like you can take care of yourself. Totally. Yeah. And then the other thing that I would say, like was interesting and I think good and like kind of refreshing was like, I feel like I, I took a very conscious. Okay. I think with this whole experiment, the whole thing is like taking a very conscious approach to managing your time. Right. And it's been on my mind recently that like, I have all these like random projects that I want to do, like between like house projects or like places I want to go or like little things like that, like planning the Hawaii trip, like all these like little things. Actually not little things. They're kind of like big things. I'm going to crack myself, all these like big things that I want to do, but it's so easy to like push them back either because you're not sure if you're going to have time to do something because it takes like a lot of like planning and execution time, um, or whatnot, or especially with the house stuff. It's like when I, you know, moved in last year, it was like, I was so focused on just getting. My necessities. And then I'm like, oh wait, actually I want to like do some like decorating projects and stuff. But with the summer being busy with other things, it's just. There's so many things that I haven't done. And so many things I've like taken a back seat and then I was like, wait, wait, wait, let me like, write down everything that I want to do. Cause there's like, no excuse for these things to like be on my backlog forever. I'm sure it's not going to be like take as long as I think that they're going to. So I literally like wrote down a list of like all like my kind of like to do items or like, like projects and stuff and like kind of. Made almost like, like a timeline or like a prioritizing of them. Okay. That's really interesting. Yeah. I haven't done something like that in so long. And I used to do a lot more like explicit goal planning, but I feel like my priorities are like my, my goal posts have shifted, you know, it was like there was school and then graduating school, like then. You know, shifted to like finding a job. And then once I found a job and I got a job and I moved, that was such a big change that then it was like, okay, let me just like, enjoy the fruits of my labor and kind of get settled before, like pushing through and. Reaching that like, you know, it's like necessities, you first got to deal with your necessities before you do all your add on. So I don't know. It, it gave, this gave me an opportunity to like sit down and like, kind of like do like a mental dump, which is that sounds so ugly to say mental. No, that's really interesting. I feel like I, I didn't have that experience where maybe I approached that girl week with a different attitude. I almost found that my regular goal is like, I'm definitely, I definitely try to cram too many like tasks into one day. Like I try to knock out like several errands, get lots of work done and like overbook. And like my attitude towards that week was actually like, let me favor self care and a clean house over pursuing these like goals aggressively. So I don't think I got a lot done on my to-do list, but I was able to slow down a lot more. So I, that was a good outcome for me, but maybe we're just coming at it from like two different baselines, I guess. I think that makes sense. And I think we're both trying to like, fill the gap or like catch up on what we don't normally do. Yeah. Like I feel like I do normally, like, I am usually pretty good about cleaning up and stuff. So this was like my reminder of like, oh, I'm thinking about my time, so, oh yeah. Yeah. Wait, what about all those things that I wanted to do that I haven't. And then I know that you're very like explicitly goal oriented. So I feel like you, I know you've said in the past, like everyday you want to be a better version of yourself, like working on your goals. So maybe that's why you had the opposite view of like, okay, let me not like, think too much about the future for, let me just like perfect. The present. Exactly. I mean, I think, I think the theme of that girl in general is like, whatever that better version of yourself is like pursue. You know, every day, and that is very different for everybody. I also wanted to say that I flossed more than I've ever flossed. That's amazing. My gums are so healthy. I actually booked a dentist appointment for next week. I didn't need to go and I feel ready. I vacuumed more than I've ever vacuumed. It was almost a daily vacuum. That's like a big deal for you. I'm proud of you. I'm happy for you. Aw, yeah, no, it was really good. Did that help you to realize that vacuum isn't as intimidating as maybe you thought it was? I still can't vacuum when it's dark out, like my place is still too dark, but you know, I find time during the Workday it'll, it's become more regular. Like I feel like I've just like crumbs on the floor. It's just so irritating. It's just such a terrible feeling anyways. I'm I'm a changed person. I've vacuum. A lot. Okay. Let's talk about what did not go well, what's something that just wasn't working for you. Oh, you know what? I think the weekends are hard. Like I think weekdays are really controllable and easy and like, especially if you're not seeing people, but if you have like plans to go out on the weekend and like things to do, like I had planned to go hiking. I caught up with some friends over beers and it threw off my sleep schedule and I was really tired. Like I got like four hours of sleep both days. And that was very anti that girl. Cause I didn't know how to fit the, that girl lifestyle into my social schedule. So it's hard to stay on top of it. During the weekend in this, the spirit of the week and of self care, did you try to do less during the weekend or like what was kind of the. The approach there? I wouldn't say so. Like I think I just, I tried to do less, but part of that is also coming from like, I have a lot of work to do recently, so it was getting kind of overwhelming, but, um, I also like stayed up until two watching tick-tock on Saturday, like for no reason or Friday night. I'm like that, wasn't it? That wasn't that girl like, Ooh, because Fridays feels so indulgent. It feels like the rules are off for Fridays. And then it made me feel crappy for like Saturday. That's not very that girl of you, Marissa. That's what I was saying to Marissa all week long. Like whenever she struggled with something, But it's true. Like, I feel like it's easy and I'm sure a lot of people feel this way about being organized on top of things in general. It's very easy to do that during the week, but we let a lot of that go during the weekend. Yeah, no, I feel that, I feel like for me, I was actually just thinking about this today. And I was like, I feel like for me, my, like Mondays to Wednesdays are really good. And then Thursday, Friday feels like we're just like trying to make it through the week. Like, we'll just do the bare minimum. It's either do the bare minimum or everything like hits the fan and it's crazy. So there's the Friday are like survival mode and then Saturday, Sunday, or. Restorative fun is what I try to go for. Interesting. Okay. Yeah, but I find like my weeks are often in that pattern, which is not, it's not the worst pattern, but there's definitely, it's a little bit of a roller coaster. What was the hardest thing for you then? I still, I feel like it was. I feel like the hardest thing for me was what I thought it was going to be, which was like finding the time to do everything that I wanted to do. And like going to sleep early because we were, I was, you know, I was trying to get up at a consistent time this week, um, this past week. And I, yeah, I felt myself feeling tired and I was not able to go to sleep early, really. Because the evenings just go by so fast. And I think that's like fixing your sleep as a longer term battle than like one week. See I don't think my sleep is totally broken. Like I go to sleep around like midnight, which I don't think it a really bad. Um, but I tried like turning my phone off overnight a few times, and that was pretty good. So that way I feel like it makes me less like aware of the time in a good way where I like let myself get tired without the expectation of what time it is. Um, but yeah, I just have such a hard time, like going to sleep earlier. I don't know. And I was, I was actually reflecting on kind of like an adjacent thing. Last couple of days where I was thinking to myself, like, man, okay. Over the last few weeks, I've been going to the office to get food. I'm bad. Don't tell anybody, but like, I, I usually take food for dinner as well. And so I honestly have barely even been cooking and it's like, oh my gosh. Like, how is it possible that I still feel short on time when I'm not even, I don't even have to cook, but that just made me think like, okay, you know how I'm talking about this? Like, oh, backlog of like all these things that I like want to do. And then I realized, like, is there's no wonder that there's so many things that I haven't gotten to because all this time I've been spending so much time on that day-to-day of like cooking and cleaning. Like that took honestly half, if not more of my evening, every day. So I, I, in that regard, I was like, honestly, I don't blame myself. So now that we've talked about what went well and what didn't go. Well, I do have to ask, oh my gosh, this feels like a, like a sprint retrospective. What went well, what didn't go well. And what would you change in the future? Like what part of that girl would you want to continue doing this weekend onwards and forever? Honestly, I really liked like coming back to a sense of awareness about. Not just my time, but about like my goals and my routines, um, like setting out a more concrete morning routine and little things like that was something that, um, that I did for this week. And also like, for example, another thing that he did. I literally like wrote a sticky note or, I mean, I did more than one sticky note. I literally like wrote sticky notes, like with my routines or like with reminders, like in the bathroom, there's literally one of like reminder to like floss and then like all my different, like skincare options that I can do if I want to do like a face mask or squash or something. Um, And so anyway, that's kind of just like a random way to like, implement that awareness. But I feel like I used to do stuff like that. And then I stopped doing it. Cause whenever people come over, it's like kind of embarrassing. But overall I was like, oh wait, wait, this is like, you know what? This is a good way to like implement routines. And like, it just brought like another sense of, yeah, like a renewed sense of awareness about like evaluating my routines and evaluating my goals. So I feel like doing that and making an effort to do that and like reassess things every once in a while is good. And I used to do that more, but I haven't in so long. I really liked that. Well, I hope you get to keep doing it this week. I flossed yesterday. Nice work. How about you? What's your main, like takeaway what are you going to carry into the future? I think it's the self-care bit. Like I focused a lot on self-care like anything from eating well, working out, cleaning my apartment, which I count as self-care like, I think my mood is really tied to like my apartment and like treating myself with like face masks and like candles and. Uh, clean sheets and stuff. Like all that stuff just helped me manage my stress really, really well. And especially like eating healthy has helped to keep my mind really clear. Um, so I, I want to continue, maybe not all of it, maybe all of it is unrealistic, but as much as I can, like from now until forever, like prioritizing my health. Your health is number one. I think I like, I work out a lot. Like, I think that's like the main thing that I do, but I realize that's not all health is. And I was like missing out on all of these other things that I needed to pay attention to. Yeah. And again, like, I feel like we. I feel like we went with a version of that girl that we thought would be moderately realistic for ourselves. So I feel like overall it was a good, good experience versus I've seen other people doing this challenge and like towards the end, they're just like, that was way too much. Like we don't need to be eating like green smoothies and. Every day, like it doesn't have to be that crazy. Yeah. No. And I feel like neither of us is starting on like too bad of a baseline anyways. So, so it wasn't like a total life overhaul, but made some chunks. Do you feel like that girl? No, but almost we're getting there. We're getting there, I think until you make it. Okay. And after all this work and experimentation that we did over the last week, we want to provide you with some action items. So for mine, um, you could probably see this one coming, but my action item for you is to sit down, maybe light a candle and pull out a notebook, a journal, and do just like a brain dump of. Reflecting and the planning and everything that's been on your mind that you want to do that you haven't gotten around to doing, and just, just put it all down on the page and figure out a plan moving forward. So that way, you know, you can accomplish everything that you want to and have some clarity about how to take a step forward towards being the best version of yourself that you can be. That's awesome. I would say mine is cleaning. Um, it sounds like kind of basic, like, but I think I learned from this week that cleaning is really, really helpful for my mental health. And it's just so important for my personal health. So consider like your relationship with how clean your space is, and maybe try, try a week where you really, really prioritize, keeping it super clean and see if seeing if it affects your mood. Awesome. Well, I think we both had a really good time doing this experimentation week and I hope everybody enjoyed listening to it and our insights.
